Discover an unexpected wine wonderland under the Andalusian sun
Venture beyond the sunny beaches and flamenco of southern Spain and explore the Ronda Valley, a region of stunning scenery and wine-making excellence.
The off-the-beaten-track vineyards in the Serranías de Ronda mountain range in Andalusia are home to some of Spain’s newest and most revered wines. Located at an altitude between 750 and 1,100 metres, the Ronda Valley offers perfect conditions for viticulture: sunny weather and a climatic variability between the daily maximum and minimum temperatures. About 30 wineries are clustered in a region where wine tasting has become a key component of gastronomic tourism. Visiting the family-owned bodegas is also a wonderful way to get acquainted with the local lifestyle, people, and culture. For these wine-makers, creating good wine is all about passion, with a hint of obsession.
