Founded by master pastry chef David Wesmaël, LA GLACERIE is quickly making a name for itself in the trendy Marais district of Paris. Hailing from Lille where his original boutique is located, Wesmaël works with local producers from the northernmost region of Hauts-de-France and hand picks ingredients according to season. Wesmaël plays with colour and shape, and for him, ice cream is as much about presentation as it is about taste. Along with a range of 21 flavours of ice cream and sorbet, La Glacerie serves up gourmet desserts including Wesmaël’s ingenious cylindrical ice cream in a tube. Everything looks gorgeous, but you absolutely must experience La Glacerie’s pièce de résistance – le dôme envie, which is a frozen pâtisserie made of ice cream and sorbet.
